Bike Bot Fash Bash, Saturday, May 19th
BikeBOT is throwing their first annual BikeBOT Fash Bash on May 19th from 8pm to midnight at the Pine Street Station in East Austin. The BikeBOT Fash Bash is a cycling fashion show produced by BikeyMeLikey that will pull together local businesses with the cycling community for one night in order to promote cycling in Austin and beyond. We love riding our bikes and we love doing it in style – the goal of BikeBOT Fash Bash is to show the world that you don’t have to sacrifice your self expression just because you’re on two wheels instead of four. Proceeds support local cycling advocacy organizations, The 1Love Tour and HOPE LIKES BIKES.
The 1Love Tour is riding to encourage growth in our nation’s bicycle communities. The tour will span the west coast riding from Vancouver to Imperial Beach, California, stopping in 8 big cities to throw BikeBOT Bike Bashes. These Bike Bashes act as mini bike festivals bringing the community together to celebrate bikes, live music and raise funds for a local bicycle non-profit.
HOPE LIKES BIKES raises cycling awareness, encourages everyone to bike more often, and empowers Austinites to learn how to fix and maintain their own bikes.
