CRANKSGIVING PHOTOS!!!!!
Finally...
these are from the first lap. A few of these folks missed a turn (and got bonus raffle tickets) and unfortunately ventured on to trails we had closed. after a short (4.6? mile) lap #1, everyone else made the correct turns and turned 100's of laps! I took a few butt shots to see how dirty people were getting (not because I'm a perv).
Rough count is 90% smiles. This really is my favorite local MTB event. Thank you to everyone that turned their CRANKS to help Austin Ridge Riders GIVE again this year. I'm hoping that Spinnincin will give us an update on how much we raised to donate to the APARD/Camacho Youth MTB Team. 2010 was a huge success and 2011 was, too. Despite the sketchy conditions at the start, organizers re-routed the course to keep riders and trails safe. Only a few people missed ONE turn and rode through some muck. i am so proud to be a part of this MTB community. Events like this really showcase how awesome we are.
Oh.....and the AWESOME sponsors. We gave away so much schwag to lucky raffle riders. I said woo so many times, my throat is still sore. Some of the coolest Oakleys I've ever seen were won and we had a bunch of new sponsors this year, also. We really wouldn't have much of an event without all the great food, drink, and prizes. Thanks to all those companies that support our MTB community and allowed us to give so much $$ to a great cause.
