Through the eyes of a racer.....Jeff Nagy on the STORM Hill Country Mountain Bike Challenge

Jeff Nagy is a local racer who posted this race wrap-up on www.BikeMojo.com. His insights are posted with his permission and provide a glimpse into the world of racing that many will never see first hand. I also like the fact that he recalls course marshals encourgement and the sound of cowbells. To those of us to work and volunteer at races it is nice to know we're noticed!

Thanks for taking time to share your experience and inspire us Jeff! We'll be watching for you as the season rolls on!

Comfort, TX - Ride Report

STORM Hill Country Mountain Bike Challenge – Comfort, TX

Feb 26, 2012 - Cat 3

It was an early start to arrive in Comfort by 8:30am for registration. A quick stop for breakfast and I was race bound as the morning sun smiled its warming rays across the hill country. Pre-race temps were in the low 40’s as cyclists from around South and Central Texas converged to Flat Rock Ranch. I met up with friend Mathew who pre-rode Saturday and camped overnight. I kitted, registered and warmed up before Cat 3 riders got there call up.
