Okay so technically it might still be “spring” but it doesn’t matter really because we are hitting triple digits this week. We are now in the “hot” season and so most of our rides will now begin at 8am and we encourage everyone to hydrate ahead of time, bring plenty of water and perhaps some electrolyte suppliment, get yourself a headband to control sweat, and keep a cooler of ice cold beverages for the post ride recovery effort. Take frequent breaks during your rides, do not overdo it, seek shade to cool down and alert your ride leaders if you are feeling overheated. Advanced Group Ride | Emma Long Saturday, May 17th, 8:00 AM Emma Long aka City Park is a technically challenging system with ledge drops and climbs. Some of these drops are “blind” and climbs can be “punchy”. Navigation can be tricky but that is what we are here for! RSVP for Emma Long Monthly Group Ride | Forrest Creek Ranch Saturday, May 31st, 8:00 AM Forrest Creek Ranch is unlike most of the trails you will ride in Central Texas. The entire system is shaded and smooth with hardly a rock to be found, yet boasting plenty of elevation. Physically demanding but not technically challenging.
