Ride Like A Girl offers a supportive mountain biking program designed for women at various skill levels, focusing on building confidence, progression, and community. So, whether you’re brand new to mountain biking, a seasoned rider or just looking to grow your skills alongside other women, you’re in the right place. Come ride at your level, challenge yourself safely, and enjoy the trails with supportive women who genuinely want you to succeed.
Please note: these rides are for adults only. We encourage girls under 18 to join their local NICA program or a similar youth program.
RLAG Group Rides will be canceled if trail conditions are wet or any special event falls on that day. RSVP to receive email alerts for any changes or cancellations.
Helmets are mandatory!
Please bring plenty of water for the ride.
Please ensure your bike is mechanically sound.
Please arrive early to find parking.
About RLAG Group Skill Levels
RLAG focuses on the fundamental skills of Mountain biking to improve performance, including these core skills:
Body Position/ Balance: Centered, neutral, and ready positions for stability.
Braking: Proper techniques (front/rear) for control, speed modulation, and safety.
Cornering: Techniques for turns, berms, switchbacks when maneuvering trails.
Technical Terrain: Handling obstacles like rock gardens, root beds, rollers and drops.
Descending & Climbing: Techniques for steep uphill and downhill sections.
Front/Rear Wheels lifts: Getting over obstacles safely.

For brand new riders or those with little trail experience who are excited to get started. You’re curious about beginner trails, ready to try gentle singletrack, and interested in learning how to ride small obstacles in a fun, no‑pressure environment. This ride is all about learning the fundamentals, building confidence, and feeling supported every step of the way.
Skills practiced: Core Skills, confidence, bike control, braking, curbs -obstacles, and trail etiquette.
Ride details: 4–6 miles, 4-5 MPH pace, frequent stops.
Expect lots of encouragement, skill sessions, and discussion—perfect for learning, asking questions, and building a strong foundation with an all‑women community.

For riders who are building confidence on the trails but are ready to grow. You’re comfortable on smooth trails and can handle some varying, somewhat technical terrain over small rocks, roots, and logs, but are not yet proficient or consistent. You may hesitate or walk the bike on larger features but that’s okay! This ride is focused on developing consistency, confidence, and foundational skills to help you progress to more challenging terrain.
Skills practiced: Core Skills, cornering, navigating rocks/roots, intro to climbs, descents and roll downs
Ride details: 8-10 miles, 6-8 mph pace, more stops than Level 3.
Supportive, skill-focused, and confidence-building—perfect for riders who want to push just beyond their comfort zone in an encouraging, all-women environment.

For Riders who are comfortable on green/blue trails and ready to level up. You can navigate varying and moderately technical terrain – think medium to large rocks, roots, and logs – and are looking to build confidence on steeper lines, rock gardens, and flowy riding. This ride is all about improving bike control, especially on climbs and descents, while developing speed, flow and endurance.
Skills practiced: Core Skills, rock gardens, steeper roll-downs, berms, switchbacks, and endurance.
Ride details: 12-15 miles, 8-10 mph pace, more stops than Level 4.
Challenging, supportive, and progression-focused. Perfect if you’re ready to push past comfort zones with an encouraging crew of strong women.

For strong, advancing riders who are confident over varying and technical singletrack and ready to push limits. You’re comfortable tackling medium-to-large rocks, roots, berms and successive drops (over 1 foot) and want to take it to the next level. This ride focuses on building mental toughness, refining advanced techniques, increasing speed, and confidently mastering challenging terrain and features.
Skills practiced: Advanced Core Skills, technical terrain, ledges, bigger drops, jumping fundamentals, speed and flow, faster cornering, braking less in berms, and endurance.
Ride details: 15-20 miles, 8-10mph pace, minimal stops.
Faster, focused, and challenging with strong, supportive women who love to level up and have fun!

For experienced riders who are confident on blue trails and beyond, comfortable on technical singletrack, and ready to give back. This level is about more than riding strong—it’s about building community, supporting other women, and helping get MORE WOMEN ON BIKES!
Invite: Level 5 riders are invited to join us as Ride Leaders or Sweeps, sharing experience, offering encouragement, and helping less‑experienced riders grow in confidence and skill. If you are interested in being a group ride leader, please click here.
