November is busy with everyone packing events in before the holidays arrive. We’re participating in a few events hosted by our partners, and then at the end of the month we will be welcoming riders to Cranksgiving at Pace Bend!
Heads up: there will be no monthly ride this November due to Cranksgiving, and starting in December our group rides will begin at 9am. |

| Cranksgiving is ARR's largest FUNdraising event of the year and it’s a great way to burn off that extra helping of pumpkin pie while riding with your friends! You will have an opportunity to complete multiple laps of our 8-mile, marked loop, earning a ticket for the prize raffle each time. We’re grateful for the support of KOM Trails, who returns as our title sponsor for this year! Interested in volunteering? We’ll hook you up with free registration and a raffle ticket! Our Brushy Creek trail stewards have been busy repairing damage caused by our dry summer, plus the usual tasks. In their words…
Tommy Kerstetter: “For this badly eroded hill (shown below) I shored up the left side and added large rocks and additional material at the bottom, raising the surface. I will also be adding a water break at the top, and perhaps removing the root on the right. I’ll continue to add material as my schedule allows.”
Ronan O’Connor: “For the last few months I have been working on removing punji sticks and clearing over growth, dead limbs, and face slappers on Rim Trail, 1/4 Notch, Bob Ross, and Double Down. Fences have been built using cedar trees and boulders to block “b lines” and short cuts. Branches and brush have been removed from along the edge of trails. I'll be continuing this work on Dave's Ditch, Picnic, and Peddlers Pass over the fall and winter months.” |

Level 1 Fundamentals Clinic |
|
|
We hosted our third skills clinic last month and continue to build on a successful formula with additional clinics planned for 2026. Here’s some feedback from one of our members:
I highly recommend taking this clinic to anyone starting out, feeling rusty, or just wanting to check in on their skills. Abel and Renee were great, they worked with everybody's varying levels of skills and abilities. Down to even handicaps, like me being half blind and having a leg injury, offering advice and different ways to do things based on those 'limitations'. I even learned how to rear wheel lift (don't think they teach it as a standard but someone asked so they showed us), which I literally thought I was incapable of. Now I can't stop doing it lol found some weak points to work on and the trail riding portion was really good for putting what we learned into practice. A++
Thanks for the glowing review, Henry! |

| Austin could soon be getting an indoor bike park! Lalo Estrada is a local rider and Austin Ridge Riders Trail Steward at Mary Moore Searight Park, and he is working to create a climate controlled spot to ride! The first step is getting feedback from the community, and you can participate by joining their mailing list and answering a few short questions.

Our friends at The Bike Protectors and Texas Dream Bikes have partnered with us to offer local benefits to our yearly members! This is in addition to the benefits provided by IMBA. That’s a lot of value for just $39 per year! |
