September Newsletter We’ve reached the point where we can start daydreaming about cooler riding weather, a lower dew point, and even night rides. Our focus is beginning to turn towards our next big events like It’s My Park Day, Cyclovia ATX, and Cranksgiving. Announcements This Sunday, 9/13 we will be doing a group photo before the ride starts alongside Council Member Mike Siegel, to commemorate the new speed bump at the Windy/BMX Loop trail crossing on the main park road. As you may recall, a rider was struck by a vehicle there earlier this year, and the safety improvements came about after a request from our organization. If you want to be part of this photo please be on time. We will begin the ride immediately following the shoot. The RLAG Season Finale has been rescheduled for this coming Monday, 9/14. We had a great time and they’ve invited us out again with a ton of support like pre-ride coffee and post-ride lunch. The lake is also in much better shape than last year, so we’re moving our meet location and would like to suggest a post-ride dip. They also have kayaks available for rent, and camping in case anyone would like to make this a weekend trip. We need an idea of how many people to expect for lunch, so please RSVP by 9/24 if you are coming. Please RSVP for Muleshoe Bend!
