Muleshoe Bend, August 23rd Group Ride
Thanks to everyone who attended the Muleshoe Bend group ride and took their survey! LCRA Parks staff were stoked on the turnout and hopefully they got the feedback they need. We were impressed with the updates and it’s encouraging to hear they want to do even more.

Pace Bend, August 30th Workday
“Austin Ridge Riders did a “razor tooth ride,” meaning we rode with folding saws and mini-loppers, stopping to trim tree branches where needed. One particular type of trimming is when cedars (junipers) have a branch that has been broken off or cut improperly, leaving a “dagger” or “punji” pointed at trail users. Although rare, accidents involving riders falling and getting “stabbed” by a branch do happen! We covered a lot of ground, trimming up sections on North and South Croton, Straddle Yer Saddle, and Chickenfoot.
